2024 Utah Cut Flower Farm Association Plant Trial

We are excited to be trialing the following two varieties:

Didiscus Seed-Lacy Lavender Blue

Sunflower-Desert Sun

Plant trials in Utah are important because of the diverse climates our growers face and help our members get more information to make better decisions on different varieties tested.

You will receive seeds for each variety along with growing information and an email with the form for the data that will need to be collected.

Please note: by signing up you are committing to providing the following data for each variety:

Planting date(s)

Number of plants planted

Whether direct sown or grown as transplants

Number of plants that made it to maturity

Average marketable stems per plant

Average stem length (please measure carefully)

We will also be asking for other observations that you made during the trial, such as ease of growing, and marketablity of variety.
